RFG/BOAS Testing
The Royal Kennel Club and University of Cambridge developed the Respiratory Function Grading Scheme (RFGS) to scientifically assess and grade the severity of BOAS.
The test is simple and non-invasive, carried out by specially trained vets, and involves assessing your dog’s breathing at rest and after a short period of gentle lead exercise. Dogs are given a grade from 0 (unaffected) to 3 (severely affected).
